Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Rock of Joy Place of Safety. Volunteers are an important part of our team and help us in many ways. We appreciate everyone who gives us the gift of their time. Wherever you volunteer, you will make a difference. Below is some basic information regarding our volunteering and application process.
We require all our volunteers to be a minimum of 16 years of age. Our shifts range from two to three hours, depending on the shift you decide to volunteer in.
The first step in our volunteer application process is completing an application form. The application requires two references that the applicant has known for at least one full year.
Completing an application does not guarantee acceptance to volunteer at Rock of Joy yet. After we receive your application, we will contact you for an informal interview. All information on this form will be kept confidential.
Please be advised that we will require you provide us with a Form 30. We will be able to give you the relevant application form and the onus will be on you to submit it to the Department of Social Development to obtain your Form 30. We will also require a copy of your ID.
